Please wash me up by Peter Combe

Standard

“Please wash me up,” said the knife,

“I’m sticky all over with honey.”

“Please wash me up,” said the plate,

“I’m all yucky all over with Weetbix.”

“Please wash me up,” said the glass,

“I’m sticky all over from orange juice.”

“Please wash me up,” said the fork,

“There’s egg stuck in my prong.”

“Please wash me up,” siad the frying pan,

“I’ve got fried potatoes stuck on my bottom.”

“Please wash me up,” said the fingers,

“We’ve got icecream all over us

And we hate being licked!”
